See further, wider and better with the powerful FoxFury Discover Tilt White LED Headlamp / Helmet Light. This rugged, compact light provides hands-free illumination in all-weather conditions and delivers up to 200 lumens of panoramic lighting. It is designed for use on safety helmets (including hard hats and fire fighter helmets), on a ball cap or directly on the forehead. This headlamp features a wide, powerful long distance beam to illuminate larger distances and comes with an adjustable tilt to help aim the light where needed. On the low setting, it provides task lighting for close-up tasks like inspection, repair and maintenance.
New LED technology allows you to see colors more accurately. FoxFury’s True To Life™ LED technology provides a higher quality light. The enriched visual feedback gives a true appearance where colors are seen accurately, clearly and vibrantly (compared to standard LEDs). This technology is critical for inspections and precision work where details need to be distinguished.
Discover headlamps are professional grade and meant to thrive in challenging environments. This ultra-rugged headlamp is engineered to survive in the heat, cold and everything in between. It features a waterproof design that enables it to operate submerged in water as well as be decontaminated (when used with the silicone strap). It also meets NFPA fire resistant requirements for use in firefighting when used with the silicone strap. This durable headlamp is designed to survive bumps, drops and other impacts.
The FoxFury Discover Tilt White LED is a professional grade lighting tool that provides free hands along with spot and flood lighting at all times. The Discover is powered by (4) AA batteries. A front light bar and rear battery pack evenly distributes the weight of the light from side to side and front to back, which prevents the light from tilting forward or sideways. The adjustable tilt provides the light to be aimed up or down to best illuminate the area and reduce blinding of others. A low and high mode enables the user to adjust light intensity based on what the immediate situation requires.
When used with the included flexible elastic strap, this light can be worn as a headlamp on the forehead or ball cap.
When used with the included silicone strap, the light grips on to safety helmets including hard hats. It also can be worn on most traditional and modern style firefighter helmets (including US style firefighter helmets utilizing goggles, visors and Bourkes eye protection). This headlamp / helmet light is a versatile lighting tool for industrial professionals, first responders and recreational enthusiasts who demand a serious hands-free lighting tool to illuminate longer and wider distances.

I've been using Fox Fury lights on my helmet for over 10 years. They are durable and cost effective.
The Discover Tilt is a smaller unit compared to my previous light and is much easier to have on the fire helmet. I tested this on both a traditional leather helmet and a newer "LA Style" helmet with equal ease of adjusting and use.
The AA battery box allows me to change batteries without having to plug the unit into a wall for hours with no light on my helmet.
The tilt adjustment makes a HUGE difference and locks in better than the previous models.
Great light for firefighters, highly recommended.
This light has been a big help for fires and wrecks and so far has held up to water and falls
My son is using this daily with Norfolk Fire Department. He likes it and his buds ask him where he got it.
this is a heavy duty headlamp that is made for use with a hard hat. I did try to use it as a regular headlamp, it says you can, but it was not very comfortable that way.
The front lamp ratchets up and down using a very small knob, if you are using work gloves you can forget it and just grab the lamp and adjust it with brute force.
The battery pack goes in the back, and serves as a counterweight.
The light was very bright and worked well. I really like the wide angle beam, and as I age my eyes like to have plenty of light. This lamp delivered. The company encouraged me to tweet out how I was using their product, which was a really cool thing to do a couple of years ago, but these days I don't want to be involved with these companies socially. I just want their products to work well. This one does.
I did not check battery lifetime.
The unit is supposed to be waterproof (submersion), I did not check this. Thats because I will only use the item in the rain. I did run it under the shower and it was fine. The battery case, being waterproof, was not easy to take off. I'm assuming this is due to the waterproof nature of it, it has to be 100% secure I suppose. This means that you would want to put fresh batteries in each time you went out in the field, because when you are in the field, it will not be that much fun to change the batteries (and impossible in work gloves).
Overall I think its a great little specialty headlamp, but not for average daily use. They are saying on the product page its great for hotshot firefighters and stuff, and I can totally see it. High performance at a high cost.
